About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Do I need a visa? I will be traveling non stop from LAX to HKG.

My question was do I need a visa for the return flight. I would be buying a one way ticket from HKG to PVG and PVG to LAX, stay in Shanghai for one day and half and then proceed to flying to LAX.

You don't need a visa as you are able to use free transit policy in Shanghai.
