I will be arriving at HKIA with check in luggage with a virgin Atlantic flight.

I’ll be going from HKIA to Shekou btw.
Do I need to go through immigration to pick up my luggage? Or can I give them the luggage tag receipt in order for them to put it on the ferry and not go through customs?
