About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Stop and transfer in China

I am flying from Frankfurt to Brisbane with a stop in Changsha and a transfer in Guangzhou, I’m reading lots of conflicting information about whether the 72 hour twov is valid when travelling through two Chinese airports or not. Do I need a visa and if I need one how can I get this?

You are NOT eligible for 72-hour TWOV if you have more than one stop in Mainland China. You are eligible, however, for 24-hour TWOV if and only if your total time on Mainland Chinese soil is less than 24 hours.
