About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72-Hour free transit. Thanks for your help!

Hey there,

I am arriving in Beijing from Canada on the 5th of August and am planning a flight to leave on the 7th. My departing flight travels to New Dehli, but has a transfer in Guangzhou for a few hours. Will the 72-Hour free transit still apply if I have a connecting flight in Guangzhou to leave China? Or do I have to fly directly from Beijing to a destination outside of China for the free transit to apply?

Two stops in China limits you to 24 hours transit without visa. You either need a visa or a non-stop flight out of China to a third country.
