About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruiseship arrival and leaving by air from Shanghai

1. We are 1 day in Hong Kong on a cruise ship. Do we need visa?
2. We arrive on a cruiseship to Shanghai on Saturday and leave by air Shanghai to San Fransisco on Tuesday, Do we need entry permit?

If not where do we apply for 144 hrs twov?

1. You don't need a visa for HK.
2. You can enjoy 144h twov in Shanghai, and you can apply for it at the immigration inspection within the cruise port upon arrival.
