Transit in Shanghai. Will I need a visa or will this trip constellation be eligible for a 72h twov?

I'm a German citizen and would like to book a flight from Hong Kong to Shangai and then from Shanghai to Thailand.

There's no 72h twov in Shanghai but 144h.

And you're fine for the 144h twov.
