Hi, My partner and I are planning on travelling from Guangzhou to Hong Kong. First question is where should we stay in Guangzhou for easy transportation to take the express train to Hong Kong. Secondly, do Australian citizens need visa to travel to Hong Kong vice vera for Chinese citizens. Lastly, how far in advance can we purchase the ticket and where can we purchase it?Many thanksK

Currently the express to HK would departs from Guangzhou East Station, so you may find a hotel nearby or a hotel near a metro station. For Australian passport holder, you should be able to enjoy a visa free stay in HK for some days, not sure how many days. You can check it online. But if you back to the mainland, you would need Chinese visa again. For Chinese citizens, they would need travel permit and visa. The ticket begin for sale 30 days in advance, you can buy it at the East Station or online via a booking agent.
