About:China Transit Visa

19 hour layover will still permit airport exit?

Our layover is 19 hours... can we still leave the airport and go to a hotel?! I will die if I can't !
I just need a straight answer

As I know, Shanghai no longer allows people with layovers for less than 24 hours to clear immigration regardless of nationality. Some reported that bringing a hotel reservation will help. So you can just give it a try.
