About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144h twov to shanghai. Hi we will be traveling from Boston to shanghai stay for 6 days

and then to Seoul then back to Boston.My daughter will be staying in Seoul for 4 months then back to Boston.She has a visa for Seoul which allow her to stay there from August through December..Are we eligible for the 144 hours free transit

Boston > Shanghai > Seoul is allowed., 144 hours (starts day after arrival) is allowed as log as Shanghai is the only stop (even if just changing planes). Hainan for example has some flights that stop in Beijing as Shanghai only operates out of BOS a few days a week. If it stops on the way elsewhere in China then a visa would be necessary

Sorry made slight wording error in the first sentence. I meant to say " is allowed as log as Shanghai is the only stop in China (other stops even if just changing planes invalidates)".
