About:Beijing Transportation Smart Card

Any idea how long the Beijing Transportation Card is valid?

I last purchased it for my trip to BJ in Sep 2016. I will be going to BJ again in August 2018.

The validity period of the card is 2 years after charge. If the card is not recharged within 2 years, it cannot be consumed by swiping the card. If you want to continue to use it, you can recharge or activate the card at any railway station.
