About:China Visa

My FEC going through at present want to travel one month before work commences

Hi

I am an Australian, scheduled to commence employment in mid-August 2018. The school is processing my FEC currently to which I foresee no problems.

My concern is I have friends in Beijing and want to travel for a month before I commence work.
Do I apply for a Tourist visa, then the school deals with the Z?

Need an urgent response on this please.

Hi, personally I think you can apply for a tourist L type and then convert it into a work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can succeed, you don’t need to go back to your home country for that. Just give it a try. Good luck.
