About:China Visa

For PH passport holder, if we have a long layover(less than 24 hours) at Shanghai before heading to the next country, are we able to leave the airport premises without Chinese Visa? some says can, but others said can only stay in the airport. What is the latest ruling for this? Thanks!

Hi, leaving the Shanghai airport without a visa is at the immigration officer's discretion if your layover is less than 24 hours regardless of nationality. If you want to leave the airport, you are advised to apply for a regular visa beforehand.
