Thai Citizen transiting through China from Bangkok to Canada

Are Thai citizens included in the "foreigners" category for visa exemption if transiting from Bangkok through Nanjing airport to Canada (just waiting 3 hours at the Nanjing airport for the connecting flight)?

Thai citizens are not eligible for free transit exemption in mainland China, so you should apply for a visa for Nanjing beforehand.
