Student X2 and Z Work

Hello,

If I get the X2 student type (to study for 3 months in Shanghai which is valid for less than 180 days), is it okay if I buy my flight ticket from October to February? The course will finish in January but I was thinking that after finishing my course I could travel in China for one more month but not sure if I am allowed to do it. Or do I need to go back home as soon as the course finish?

I was ALREADY accepted to study in a private chinese school in Shanghai in October this year, I will go to the embassy in my country to get the student X with all the documents that the school provided to me to get the VISA. Now...what if by any chance somebody offers me a job once I am in China? Can I change my student X for a work Z?

Gaby, you are allowed to travel within mainland China as long as your student X type is still valid. If you can find a job and get the work permit from your employer, it's possible for you to change the X into a work Z type at the at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. You can have a try. Good luck.
