Is the paperwork available ahead of arriving?

Is there paperwork available so that I can fill it out before my travel to China? How will they know i'm coming? The airlines doesn't seem to know much.

It is a complete waste of time contacting your airline before you check in at the airport. There is no paperwork to complete in advance. Your airline should inform the Chinese authorities through the passenger manifest; there’s nothing for you to do. If your itinerary and nationality qualify then you’ll be fine.
