About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit visa with separate flight tickets

Hi,

I intend to buy a return ticket from Melbourne to Beijing with one airline and then a separate return ticket from Beijing to Europe with a second airline.
Providing that the transit time in Beijing is less than 144 hours each time, would there be any issues using this free transit exemption given the flights are on different bookings with different airlines?

Different airlines and different tickets is fine for Australia > Beijing > Europe. Just make sure plane doesn't stop anywhere else in mainland China.
