About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

American visit Beijing

I am an American and I want to travel from Okinawa (naha airport to Beijing) whats my best route to use this method?
So far in my mind would be, one single trip ticket from Naha to Beijing (stay 72 hours) then from Beijing to a third country such as Taipei, HK, Korea, then from there I will get another separate ticket to go back to Naha.
Does it apply and whats the best route? Thank you

Hi, your trip of Naha-Beijing-Taipei/HK/Korea-Naha will be covered by the free transit exemption in Beijing. No visa will be required. Nice trip.
