About:Former Residence of Lu Shaoxu

Is it possible to extend a tourist visa (type Q) and simultaneously transfer it to a work Z?

I am an American citizen in China for the first time with a tourist visa. However, I am married to a chinese national. I found an opportunity to get a job while staying in Henan province. Will I be able to apply for a work Z now that I'm already here? Thanks.

It's possible for you to change your current visa into a work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. Just give it a try.
