About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do we need a Visa? Can we enjoy a day trip to one of the water towns? GW

We have Australian passports and arrive in Shanghai 22nd August, then cruising with the Magestic Princess on the 24th August. We are booked in a hotel for two nights in Shanghai. Do we need entry permit?

Hi, if you are traveling Country A - Shanghai (144 hours) - Country B then you can enjoy 144 hr TWOV in there, and there is no need to apply for a visa for that. Nice trip.
