Entry and exit with separate e-tickets - 144hr TWOV Shanghai

Hi, does anybody know if there would be a problem entering China on one ticket and leaving on a separate ticket. I am thinking of arriving from Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific and leaving to Osaka on Japan Airlines. Thanks!

Hi, the separate tickets will be fine as long as your travel route qualifies for the 144 hr free transit exemption.
