Certificate of No Impediment

Hi, do i need a Certificate of no Impediment to get married in China? I'm 64, I have passport, birth cert, Statutory Declaration, signed by solicitor and now sent to Legalisation Office London, and a Decree Absolute. my future wife has just said, bring a Bachelors Cert?
After looking online will an Affidavit or Affirmation of Marital Status suffice please ?
Thanks in advance
Keith

Hi, as I know, to get married in mainland China, you need to provide passport, visa or residence permit, and an attested single status certificate from your country. These would be enough. Just for reference.

Hi Natasha, Thank you for your reply, I have looked into an attested single status and this means I have to apply to the local Office for Births Marriage and Deaths and they will post "Banns", the same as they do before you get married, to see if anyone objects to your marriage, if not they will issue a Cert of no Impediment. This takes 28 days !
I have done some more research since posting my question to you and check GOV.UK

Basically it says that you can obtain and Affadavit/Affirmationto state you are single in English and Chinese, complete and sign in the presence of Consulate, they will stamp and sign then this document will be presented at the Marriage Bureau, and, hey presto, we hope!
