16 hour layover at beijing capital airport

Hello I had a few questions. First how much does it cost at the airport to get the 24 hour visa? Secondly is 16 hours enough time to visit the great wall? Can I leave my luggage with the airline or do i have to take it with me when I go outside the airport?

Well, first of all, you don't need to apply for 24 hours visa. You can enjoy the visa free policy because of the layover is within 24 hours. If you wanna leave the airport and tour around, you need to apply for the Stay Permit at the airport. It takes around an hour on the way.Generally speaking, 16 hours are enough for you to tour around Great Wall. But remember to go back to the airport at least 2 hours in advance. You can leave the luggage at the Left Luggage Service Counter. Hope helpful!
