About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

I am an American and I plan to visit HK then Beijing. Then, I will fly back to UK from HK.

Does this route qualify for the 144 hour visa?

If you fly HKG-PEK-HKG then you need a visa because it’s not a transit.
