Traveling US to Shanghai , back through HongKong

Hi, I was unable to get my regular visa back in time. I fly from Philadelphia in US, landing Shanghai this Sunday night, then leave Shanghai traveling through Hong Kong on Tuesday. Will I be able to enter and leave Shanghai with no problem and do I need to do anything ahead of time?
