Hi, it's possible to convert the S2 to S1 at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, there is no need to go to HK for that.

Hey Abraham, I tried doing that in the city I live and work but I was told it can't be done . but they convert to S1 in other cities. I can't do it anywhere only in the city I work in or out of the country

If so, you can try to do that in HK. Or you can find an agency to help you do that. Good luck.
