how to transfer from a domestic flight to an international flight at beijing capital

I am arriving from Chengdu to BJ on Air China. I will need to get on an international flight back to the US on Hawaiian Airlines. Do I need to collect my luggage first and then where do I go?

If your flight is not connecting fight, you do need collect your luggage first. I’m not clear which Terminal are you in.
