San Francisco to Beijing for 3 days, Beijing to Hong Kong via air, then Hong Kong to San Francisco

If I fly from SF to Beijing and stay for 72 hours. After my 72 hours I fly out of Beijing to Hong Kong. Then I fly from Hong Kong to back to SF. Is this allowed?
