About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa to China. I am travelling on a NZ passport.

I am travelling NZ to Shanghai 1 - 6 July, then fly to Macau 6-8 July, then ferry to HK 11 -14 July then back to NZ. Can you please tell me if I am exempt from getting a China entry permit.

It should be good for 144 hour transit without visa (starts the day after arrival) as long as:

1) NZ-Shanghai has no other stops in China
2) Your stop prior to entering from is not also Macau.

*HK and Macau are considered separate from Mainland China
