tickets if staying in gubei water town

We plan to hike JinshanLing and then exit the wall at the West Simatai exit. I have two questions:1. How can I get to Gubei water town from that point?2. If I’m staying at a hotel in Gubei Watertown what tickets do I need to come into town and go up the wall?3. I see that you have to take the tram up if you want to up at night? Can we go up before sunset and then stay til after dark and only pay the one way fee down via the tram?

1. You can get on the No. 51 bus at the Tangheqiao Station near Simatai Great Wall. It will take about forty minutes and cost CNY2 per person. The bus will pass by eight stops and then you get off at Gubei Water Town Station. After about three-minute walk, you will get to the scenic area. Or you can reach there by taxi, requiring about half an hour and CNY30. 2. The ticket fare of Gubei Water Town is CNY150 per person and Simatai Great Wall is CNY40 per person. I heard that you can get a half price if you book the hotel in Gubei Water Town. Besides, you are advised to visit Simatai Great Wall in the evening. 3. Of course, you can go up by yourself and go down via the tram. It usually costs CNY80 per person in a single trip by tram.
