Which Great Wall trip can I take for a 23 hr layover with connecting flight that leaves at 5pm?

As you have 23 hours layover, you can make use of this period of time to visit Badaling, Mutianyu or Simatai Great Wall. To save time, I would suggest you take a taxi or book a private car to take you to the Great Wall directly from the airport.
For your reference, Badaling and Mutianyu is around an hour and 20 minutes' drive from the airport while Simatai is about one hour and 50 minutes' drive.0
