About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We are flying to Singapore for 2 nights, then to Shanghai for 2 nights.

Then we will cruise back to Brisbane, Australia.
Are we able to enter China without a single entry Visa by means of the 144-hour Visa Free Transit in China?
