About:China Work Visa

Work Visa Applied for in Home Country?

I have been offered a job in Xiamen, China. According to my company’s HR department I need to be in China first to sort out my work permit. Do I then need to return home to Cape Town in SA to apply for my work Z? Or can I apply for the work Z in China or even Hong Kong (closer than coming back to SA).

Rachel, it's possible for you to apply for it at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China or office of the commissioner of the ministry of foreign affairs of PRC in HK SAR. If it can be done, you don't need to go back to home country for that.
