Travel from US, Do I need a visa

I am traveling from Denver, switch planes in Vancouver, and fly to Beijing that day. I return to Vancouver from Beijing four days later then return to Denver a week later. Do I need entry permit? Not sure if my country of origin would be US or they would consider it Canada. Thanks

You are flying Canada-Beijing-Canada so you are not in transit, and therefore not eligible for transit without visa. You need a visa or different flights.
