About:China Visa

Am I eligible to visit Shanghai without a Visa?

I have a US passport and I am currently in Bangkok. Can I buy a one-way ticket to Shanghai and stay for 3 days and then buy another one-way ticket from Shanghai to go to Taipei, Hong Kong, or Hanoi?
Would I be eligible if I have two separate one-way tickets? Please let me know. Thank you!

Hi, Vince, separate tickets of Bangkok-Shanghai and Shanghai-Taipei, Hong Kong, or Hanoi will be fine for applying the free transit. Just get them ready before the trip.
