About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

If you qualify for the 144 hour visa and have a single entry visa, which one do you have to use 1st?

e.g. I'd want to use the 144 hrs on the leg of NY-Beijing-Seoul and then use the 30 day visa on the return leg Seoul-Shanghai-Xian-Guilin-Chengdu-BJ-NY. Is this allowed?

Your plan is doable, you can use the 144h visa free transit first and then use the single-entry visa. Have a nice trip!
