san francisco - shanghai - beijing - kunming - calcutta

Question

We spend one night in Shanghai hotel and two nights in Beijing hotel, and have 2 hour layover at Kunming airport. All flights are on China Eastern airline, on a single ticket.  Does this qualify for 72 or 144 hour visa-free transit in Shanghai for citizens of the 51 countries?  We reach Shanghai on a Sunday at 5:20 pm, and leave Beijing for India on Wednesday at 6:20 pm. Because you will stop in three cities and stop for more than 24 hours, you cannot enjoy the 24 hour direct transit, 72 hour free transit or 144 hour free transit. You need to apply for a tourist L type or transit G type beforehand.
