About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Brisbane - Guangzhou - Beijing - Amsterdam

If my flight path is as follows do I need a visa?
Leave Brisbane - transfer through Guangzhou (3 hours, not leaving airport) - Arrive Beijing, then I have 48 hours in Beijing before my flight to Amsterdam. Can I leave the airport in Beijing on the 72 hour visa free? I am an Australia citizen.

Hi, you cannot apply for the 72 hour free transit in Beijing because of the layover in Guangzhou. You are supposed to apply for a visa for the trip beforehand.
