canadian visit beijing from hong kong for 4 days ? need a visa ?

I am a Canadian citizen. Will visit Hong Kong (from Paris) and wish to visit BJ for 4 days and return to Hong Kong before returning to Paris ? Can I benefit from the 144 free visa? Do I still need to apply for the visa and can I obtain it at the airport ?

There is no 144 free visa. There is 144 hours transit without visa, but you are not eligible for that, because Hong Kong-Beijing-Hong Kong isn't a transit. You need to apply for a tourist visa in advance.
