About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei

72 hr visa free travel

I am flying London to Hong Kong, then switching planes with a short layover and flying to Chengdu. When I leave Chengdu 72 hrs later, I am flying to Hong Kong, but this time leaving the airport and staying there for several days. Does this count as transit, for the purposes of a 72 hr via free transit? Thank you

You need a visa, or you need to change your flights. Hong Kong-Chengdu-Hong Kong isn't a transit.
