About:China Customs Declaration

items to take with me

Hi, I would appreciate any specifics on these questions.
I'm traveling from the United State to China, and I plan to bring along with me several watches and colognes. Is it okay to bring five watches without declaring them since I am not selling or trading, they are for my personal use? and for my colognes I plan to bring three or four bottles all different,. Do I need to declare these? I'll be there for about two months. If it's not too much, do you know about taking smoked turkey meat that is commercially packaged?

Hello, Wayne, the regulation shows that the volume of each liquid vessel should not be over 100ml and you'd better put it in the check-in luggage. It allows you to take 1000 ml (33.8 oz) in total.
In addition, about the watches, the total value of the items should not exceed CNY2,000. Or you needs to declare them and pay the tax. And you have to declare them at the custom.
