I have a international connecting flight in Guangzhou on China Southern Airlines.

Flying from LAX to Manila. Same airline in and out. What is the procedure when I arrive to get through this airport to my next flight (requirements? do I have to get my baggage if I am on the same airline? etc) and is 1.5 hrs enough to complete this.
