About:China Transit Visa

India passport from New Zealand to Delhi via Shanghai. Lay over 15 hours.

Hope transit visa not needed. What happens if connecting flight delayed?

As long your layover in Shanghai is within 24 hours, you can apply for the 24 h direct transit in there, and no transit G type is required. Don't worry.
