About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Visa for third country needed? So basically is this acceptable for the 144-hour rule?

Travel itinerary is
Bangkok - Shanghai (less than 144 hours in China) - Seoul (7 days) - Bali, Indonesia (42 days)
Is a visa for Indonesia needed prior to entering China or is it ok, that I will purchase a VOA (extendable until 60 days) at the airport on arrival in Indonesia?
