24 hours free transit for indian passport

Question

HiI am travelling from LA, USA to Delhi, India through Beijing with a layover at Beijing of 15 hours. Can I visit Beijing during this time using a 24 hour Visa free transit? May I know what procedures I can follow for the same? Thanks for your help.

That is up to the immigration officer. You need to go to the dedicated counter and fill out a form and an arrival card and the officer may make the decision based on your nationality, your travel history, your proof of funds, etc.
