Re-entry into China from Hong Kong

Hi, I am a Singapore passport holder and I understand that we are entitled to visa-free entry into China for business and holiday reasons for up to 15 days. (Somewhat similar to a single-entry tourist visa for other nationalities.) I would be basing myself in Guangzhou for holiday and would definitely love to do an overnight trip to Hong Kong. My question would be: Would I be allowed entry back into China (since I have to return back to Guangzhou to my accommodation and departure flight) when I return from my overnight stay from Hong Kong. My total stay duration in HK would be approx. 36 hours.

I appreciate any advice from people with similar experiences or who has an idea!

Hi, you are allowed to have entry back into China. Don't worry.

Thanks for the answer. So the principle works in a sense, I exit China into Hongkong and they stamp an exit stamp in my passport. On reentry, they stamp an entry stamp again give me another 15 days visa-free entry?

Correct the exit stamp is the reset button. Time starts again on your next entry stamp.
