transfer baggagelayover at kunming airport

Question

Hi,I will arrive with a group of friends at Changshui airport at 9pm , 26th Apr , by China Eastern airlines, and have to layover there til 5am for the next fly to Shangri-la. I have heard that China Easter airlines will offer shuttle bus and hotel room for free as a transit local flight, is that true? if not, what kind of options do we have to layover at the airport?Thank you so much!!

Yes, that is true that the Eastern Airlines would offer free accommodation for passengers with overnight layover. You should inform them in advance. Except that, the airport also has some hourly lounges where you can stay for a few hours.
