Replacing Active Chinese 10 Year Visa from Lost US Passport

I lost my us passport with an active 10 year Chinese entry permit in it I received in 2015. I do not believe I have any photocopies or photographs of the old visa, although i do have pictures of the old us passport main page.

I am scheduled to travel to China on 3/26 and was going to apply for a new one and want to know if this will be an issue I need to mention, whether I can just apply with my new passport without as if it is my first time, and what else I can do if anything to expedite and make sure I get the documents I need before I leave.

Any advice anyone can give would be much appreciated!

Hi, Henry, you can apply for a new visa for China, and the required documents and application form are the same as the previous application. You can just tell them the truth that your previous passport has lost. You can tell them how many times you obtained Chinese visas before and answer what they asked honestly.
