About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Entering China by Train, am I still able to enjoy the 72 hour visa free transit?

I have a UK passport and will be entering China (Shenzhen) via train (MTR) from Hong Kong on 22nd March AM. I will be leaving Shenzhen by plane to Hanoi on 24th March 14.20

You need a visa prior to arrival if traveling by train to Shenzhen. There's no visa-free transit in Shenzhen and VOAs are not issued at rail border crossings.
