how to go from the rail way station north xian to the grand melia hotel. its secure to get a taxi?

or is better to take public transportation.

It is quite safe to take a taxi. Take it easy! It takes no more than half an hour to the hotel and the cost can be CNY70-80. Do ask the driver to charge by meter.
