25 hours lay over at PVG Pudong Airport (LAX-PVG-MNL)

Were flying via China Eastern from Los Angeles (LAX)--to Pudong Airport PVG with 25 hours lay over--then to Manila final destination with US Passport.

1. Do we need to collect our check-in luggage? Our flights are all China Eastern.
2. Do we need VISA?
3. Any recommendation for the nearest hotel for two person? How much it cost for Taxi fares?
4. How much China currency we need to cover any airport fees including Taxi fares?

1. There is no need to reclaim the luggage.
2. The visa is not required, for you are eligible for the 72h visa waiver.
3. Dazhong Airport Hotel is the closest one which is between T1 and T2. You can walk there directly and there is no need to take a taxi.
4. So you won't go into the city for sightseeing and only wish to stay in a hotel? Then CNY100-200 is enough for food or snacks. I heard the hotel mentioned above accept credit card payment and the duty-free shops in airport can be paid by USD.

Good trip!
